  • Vitality World Triathlon London Alistair Brownlee triumphed on home soil in his second win of the season. The 27-year-old triathlon champ captured his breakaway win with a familiar crowd cheering him on to the Hyde Park finish line.

  • Color Run - Wollongong The happiest 5k on the planet! This paint race celebrates health, happiness and individuality. Pass through colour zones throughout the race - and who knows how you'll end up at the finish. Fun is guaranteed.

  • Bay to Breakers San Francisco’s Bay to Breakers is the oldest consecutively run annual footrace in the world; a staple to the City by the Bay since May 1912. This year's race had more than 40,000 participants.

  • Blue Nose Marathon Every year a new slogan is featured on race t-shirts in a competition open to the Blue Nose community. If anyone had doubts about completing their race this year, the t-shirts offered the encouraging "You nose you can".

  • Rotorua Marathon World Record achieved! Colin Smyth celebrates his 50th consecutive Rotorua Marathon with his wife Pat - who accompanied him all the way - and two of the event’s original organisers.

  • Etape Loch Ness It’s hard to keep your eyes on the road in this cyclosportive when you have glorious Highland scenery and the chance of spotting a lake monster on this 66-mile route from Inverness to Fort Augustus and back again.
